Pubs welcomed customers on so-called Super Saturday for the first time since the lockdown came into force in March. But three pubs have since been forced to close after coronavirus cases were reported.
The Lighthouse Kitchen and Carvery in Burnham-on-Sea, Somerset, the Fox and Hounds in Batley, West Yorkshire, and the Village Home Pub in Alverstoke, Gosport, have temporarily shut.
The pubs announced the news in posts on Facebook.
It comes after the biggest relaxation of the lockdown to date on Saturday.
Pubs, bars, restaurants and hairdressers were among business who reopened for the first time since March.
