Kate Middleton wows in blue for the NHS with a £525 dress by her favourite ethical brand

Kate Middleton and Prince William have been returning to public engagements in recent weeks as the lockdown eases. The Duke and Duchess have been appearing in person for special events following weeks of communicating with Zoom calls to share their support for charities and good causes in the UK. On Sunday the royal pair paid a visit to a hospital to share their gratitude to the NHS.

The royal couple visited the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in King’s Lynn on Sunday to mark the 72nd birthday of the NHS.

Kate looked as chic as ever for the special occasion, choosing to wear blue in honour of the nation’s health service.

The Duchess wore a dark blue and white silk shirt dress, made by one of her favourite brands, Beulah London.

Kate often wears items from the ethical label, which supports women around the world and fights slavery through luxury fashion.

However, it’s not just her clothes that have been coveted during the lockdown, with her jewellery choices becoming popular too.

Kate has been spotted in £5 earrings from Accessorize for some of her latest appearances – but for today’s NHS event she wore a much pricier pair.

Kate tied her hair back into a chic ponytail and teamed the dress with what looked like her Patrick Mavros Ocean Tides Milky Quartz Earrings, which retail for £800.

The Duchess has worn the beautiful drop quartz earrings for recent video call appearances, and there is currently a waiting list for the handmade jewels of eight to nine weeks as fans flock to copy her style.

It’s reported that Prince William gave the stunning earrings as a gift to his wife, and she’s been wearing them repeatedly in recent weeks.

The carefully crafted stones have a cloudy nature caused by tiny water bubbles inside the quartz, with the designer saying that they’re inspired by the colours of the Indian Ocean.

Kate also wore the chic earrings with another of her Beulah dresses, the Calla Rose Red Dress, for a call to kickstart Mental Health Awareness Week in May.

The bright dress featured a similar collared design to today’s blue number, with balloon sleeves and elongated cuffs.

The mother of three was dressed perfectly as she joined NHS workers for afternoon tea alongside Prince William.

The pair shared photos from the day on their Instagram page, Kensington Royal, to honour the occasion.

The Instagram post read: “Today we mark the 72nd birthday of the NHS, in a year when it was needed more than ever as the nation responds to COVID-19.

“Today, The Duke and Duchess visited the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in King’s Lynn to thank staff for their efforts in helping their community.

“Whether you are existing staff, former staff members who came out of retirement, volunteers or key workers – we thank you for the resilience, perseverance and hope you’ve shown our nation.”
