Emergency services were called to the Holiday Inn Express on Bugsby’s Way in Greenwich this morning following reports a woman had been stabbed. Officers and the London Ambulance Service were called to the scene, and found a woman suffering form serious injuries. She was later declared dead at the scene.
The woman has not been formally identified and officers are working to inform her next of kin.
While emergency services were at the hotel, a man – believed by officers to have known the woman, fell from a height.
He was taken to hospital where his condition has been described as life-threatening.
The man is currently under the guard of officers and no one else is believed to be involved in the incident.
Witnesses said a window of the hotel was smashed, with a police cordon in place outside the hotel.
