Commenting on the Wimbledon video, one Twitter user said: “Funny because when Meghan narrated a film she got so much hate and negative press for it and no member from the RF stood up for her… interesting too see you all narrate films now. Let’s be clear though Kate CAN NEVER be Meghan!”
Another wrote: “Thanks to Meghan’s influence on royal life. We’re finally hearing from Catherine after all these years.
“I think we like the new and improved Katherine, although she’ll never be as effective as Meghan, but it’s a good start.”
A third commented: “One set the pace (Meghan), while the other just copy(Kate). No original ideas. SMH.”
One more added: “No emotion in her voice well she has a year to pratice maybe she will get some help.”
But another pleaded with royal fans not to compare Meghan and Kate, saying: “It’s sad people feel the need to constantly compare both these wonderful women.
“I hope we get to a point where we all can appreciate them both for what they can do.”
In her video, Kate told tennis fans that Wimbledon would be “worth the wait” after this year’s tournament was called off due to the coronavirus crisis.

“This year, sadly though, things are very different, but we will bide our time until we sit on the edge of seats again, and celebrate again.
“So when the time is right and we open the gates, we will be back again and it will have been worth the wait.”
The video featured archive images of players and supporters at Wimbledon throughout the decades.
The AELTC announced the cancellation of the 2020 championships in April.
The 134th tournament will instead be staged from June 28 to July 11 2021.
Kate is a keen tennis fan and she regularly attends Wimbledon.
She stepped out for the tennis event with Meghan in 2018 and 2019.
But like many other highlights in the sporting calendar, Wimbledon has been forced to cancel due to the coronavirus outbreak.
