Megxit was predicted – American authors claim book called Meghan and Harry’s royal exit

Meghan and Harry shockingly effectively left the royal family on March 31. The former Sussex Royals have since settled down in Los Angeles, California while they figure out life outside the crown.

Heather Cocks and Jessica Morgan have just published their new book, The Heir Affair.

In the book, the main royal characters are in a self-imposed exile, before they escape the monarchy to live as members of the public.

The book also has one of the two royal escapees portrayed as an American bride.

The authors are also behind 2015 best-seller, The Royal We.

Heather Cocks insisted to Vogue that the new book was written before the Sussex Royal’s exit.

She said: “The whole time that we were working on The Heir Affair, and then after we turned it in, we were like, ‘Nobody’s going to believe that we had written most of this stuff before Megan and Harry left England.’

“But if we were to totally change the plot at that point, our publisher would murder us in our beds.

“The Royal We was less a book that we wrote because we are Kate and Will mega-fans and more because we were like, ‘She became the most famous woman in the world overnight. There’s no way this was that easy.’

“Of course, the same thing happened to Meghan Markle.”

Meghan and Harry have fallen into fresh controversy after the pair appeared on a Queen’s Commonwealth Trust video call.

Prince Harry claimed that Britain needs to look at it’s own history of slavery to move forward in tackling racism.

He said: “When you look across the Commonwealth, there is no way that we can move forward unless we acknowledge the past.

“So many people have done such an incredible job of acknowledging the past and trying to right those wrongs, but I think we all acknowledge there is so much more still to do.

“It’s not going to be easy and in some cases it’s not going to be comfortable but it needs to be done, because guess what, everybody benefits.”

Since the former Sussex royals have moved to LA, they’ve been touted as the cities next biggest stars by experts.

Meghan Markle appeared in a Disney+ documentary on elephants just three days after the couple departed the royals.

Yesterday Prince Harry gave an exclusive look at the couples new garden in Beverly Hills, while delivering a video message for the International AIDS Conference.

The two are also looking to start up their own charity, named after their son Archie.

Archewell is intended to be the replacement venture for the couple’s former Sussex Royal Foundation.
