Great Western Railway (GWR) reported this afternoon that a person was hit on the tracks on the line between London Paddington and Slough.

The report came at 6.30pm.

The status of the person hit and the precise location of the incident is not yet known.

All lines have been blocked as a result.

GWR report that services will be cancelled or delayed by up to 90 minutes.

Disruption is expected until 9pm this evening.

For those affected, GWR have issued some guidelines.

They advised Chiltern Railway are helping move passengers between Marylebone and Oxford both ways.

Meanwhile, for passengers between Waterloo and Reading, South Western Railway will be taking passengers for that journey.

GWR add that arrangements have been made so that their rail tickets can be used for these journeys.

Express.co.uk has contacted GWR and British Transport Police for further information.
