Anthony Joshua fight time tonight: What time is Anthony Joshua vs Oleksandr Usyk tonight?

Anthony Joshua and Oleksandr Usyk are set to square off for a second time on August 20 at the King Abdullah Sport City in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. In their last outing, Usyk comfortably outpointed ‘AJ’ at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London to claim the WBA (super), IBF, and WBO titles.

Now, Joshua will get a chance to rewrite the wrong with the added incentive of the lineal heavyweight title. Tyson Fury vacated the Ring Magazine strap following his re-retirement last week and it has now been added to the prize pool for this weekend’s blockbuster showdown.

The final missing piece – the WBC heavyweight title – is still in ‘The Gypsy King’s’ hands although Fury has been given until August 26 to make his final decision on whether he wishes to vacate.

What time will the fight start?

The main event is expected to start at 10.30pm UK time. The main card will begin at 5pm UK time while the rest of the undercard will take place much earlier in the afternoon.

Joshua: “I’m focused on the goal, God willing I’ll perform, and I’ll become three-time Heavyweight Champion of the World. With Andy Ruiz, I think a lot of people can see before the fight things weren’t 100%. You’ve got to be strong, thick-skinned; we take our loss like a man. When I win, I keep it moving and I thank everybody. When you lose, you have to stay humble as well in defeat. We kept it moving and I knew I could come back again and do what I have to do.”

Usyk: “I am very happy to be here in Saudi Arabia. It is very pleasant for me and my team. We are doing what we have to do to achieve our goals. I have never made any loud or bright speeches. To become World Champion all I did was work hard in my training camp and gym. That’s what I am going to do until the day of the fight and my boxing will make me happy.”
