Arsenal and Chelsea are among a small cluster of Premier League sides to have contacted the representatives of midfielder Yunus Musah, according to reports. With Liverpool also believed to be in the mix and Valencia attempting to tie the youngster down to a new contract, time could be of the essence ahead of the January transfer window.
Musah formed part of an impressive midfield trio at the Qatar World Cup, with the USA making it to the Round of 16. His tireless running and tenacity in the middle of the park, along with Tyler Adams and Weston McKennie, helped to shut England down in Group B as the sides played out a drab goalless draw.
The Americans saw their tournament ended by the Netherlands at the weekend but Musah seemingly did enough to make a strong impression. Fearful of European giants knocking down their door, Valencia are supposedly trying to renew the 20-year-old’s contract in the hope of keeping him for a few more years.
It remains to be seen whether they are successful, however, as 90min claim that Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal have all contacted Musah’s representatives over the possibility of a move.

“Yunus is a guy that just blows me away,” explained USA manager Gregg Berhalter earlier this year. “At his age, what he can do – crazy level of talent. We need to work with Yunus on his final product, the final pass, the finishing because he has a huge ceiling.”
Valencia may not be in the best bargaining position to keep hold of Musah given their lowly position in mid-table. The midfield maestro could feature in their next competitive match, against Villarreal on New Year’s Eve.
