The Arsenal pair have played a bit-part role so far this season, but will be needed in the business end of the campaign. They’ve both played significant minutes against Watford and Lyon already, but the step up in class against AC Milan and Juventus will be the true acid test.
If they struggle to live up to expectations then Arteta heads into the January window knowing where he needs to strengthen.
