PSG boss Tuchel on Neymar transfer
Thomas Tuchel says PSG will not sell Neymar unless they land a replacement.
Tuchel told Canal+: “I always say the same thing, the transfer window is open even more than 10 days and you think it will be settled tomorrow or the day after tomorrow?
“What I think is not important. Today my player cannot play because he has not done any training like the others.
“This is the situation, and nothing has changed.”
Barcelona want Neymar to publicly declare his desire to rejoin the club from PSG this summer in order to speed up a possible deal.
Spanish publication Mundo Deportivo have now revealed why the deal is being held up, and outlined what the Catalan giants want Neymar to do in the coming days.
Barcelona want Neymar to remain certain that he won’t be playing for the French champions as he hunts an exit, despite their 2-1 defeat to Rennes on Sunday evening.
Neymar has grown frustrated at his lack of Champions League success since moving to France in 2017 and wants to return to Spain.
Philippe Coutinho on Bayern move
Philippe Coutinho has completed his loan move to Bayern Munich.
Bayern – who also have an option to make the deal permanent next summer – will pay Coutinho’s wages in full.
The Bundesliga champions have paid an £7.8m (€8.5m) loan fee for Coutinho, 27.
Should Bayern want to make the deal permanent, they’ll have to cough up £110m (€120m) next summer.
Coutinho, who will wear the No 10 shirt at Bayern, struggled to impress at Barcelona after quitting Liverpool in January 2018.
And Coutinho has revealed he’s delighted to join Bayern after a torrid spell in La Liga.
He said: “For me, this change is a new challenge in a new country with one of the best clubs in Europe and I’m really looking forward to that.”
PSG issue Real Madrid demand in Neymar talks
PSG have demanded two Real Madrid stars in return for Neymar in order to avoid selling the player to Barcelona.
French TV station Telefoot claim PSG have demanded Raphael Varane and Vinicius Jr in return for Neymar.
PSG want to avoid selling Neymar to Barcelona, with relations between the two clubs strained ever since his move away from the Nou Camp in 2017.
However, it remains to be seen whether Real Madrid will beat Barcelona to the winger.
