Bradley Walsh: The Chase star apologises to fans in announcement amid Instagram return

The Chase presenter Bradley Walsh, 59, returned to Instagram with a video of himself lip-syncing to Abba’s hit Dancing Queen.

The host was seen excitedly miming the lyrics to the song, before telling his 699,000 followers what he’s up to.

Commenting on the song which could be heard in the background, he said to the camera: “My favourite tune… South Wales… on our way to somewhere in South Wales.

“Me and Joey boy… Dancing Queen… only the greatest tune ever written.”

Bradley is believed to be in the country filming for the new series of Doctor Who.

He captioned the post: “Morning Instas!! Sorry it’s been a while but it’s the summer and if this don’t get you hopping around the Kitch!!!

“It’s my fav tune of all time. Happy Hollibobs @abba @rackitupjoey BANGING TUNE #abba.”(sic)

Earlier today, Bradley shared another video of himself singing along to The Weather Girls’ hit It’s Raining Men.

Wearing a police hat, he said to the camera: “We’re on our way to work in Welsh Wales… it’s the music police.

    “It’s the Weather Girls I think, it’s unbelievable… it’s pouring here.”

He then excitedly urged his friend Joey to increase the volume of the song.

Bradley shared the clip with the caption: “It’s raining men girls!! On our way to filming with a @mcdonalds maccy D’s latte and costumes… WE ARE BACK!!!!! @rackitupjoey.

“Get dancing round your house and Wake up with Walshy!!! @bradderzbangers.”

Many of the star’s social media fans flocked to his page to comment on his return.

One user wrote: “That’s my song, Brad,” while a second commented: “He’s back yes,” followed by crying with laughter emojis.

“Morning Bradders!!! You’ve put a smile on my face, you’re hilarious,” a third added.

Ahead of his return to Instagram, Bradley shared a picture of him alongside his wife Donna, back in June.

The pair beamed for the camera as they cosied up together at Ascot.

Bradley and Donna tied the knot in 1997 and have 21-year-old son Barney together.

Back in 2006, the Doctor Who star gushed over his spouse in an interview with The Mirror.

He said: “I wouldn’t swap missus for the world.

“Donna isn’t just beautiful, she’s the most fantastic wife and mother.

“It’s because of her I signed with Coronation Street.”

The Chase continues tonight at 5pm on ITV.
