A BRIT family have revealed their horror after claiming they were offered drugs “every ten minutes” on a TUI “holiday hell” in Mexico.
Stephen Wright, 36, had forked out £9,000 for the trip to the five-star RIU Cancun hotel but was horrified as he watched drug dealers openly counting cash and stock on the beach.
Stephen, from Glasgow, had jetted off to the resort with his partner, two nephews and one of their wives but was horrified at the state of the hotel.
He claimed their room’s walls were covered in mould, while there was blood on the floor and broken furniture.
Speaking to the Mirror, he said: “We were upgraded to the room and as soon as I walked in I nearly fell because the floor was soaking wet and dirty.
“There was blood on the walls, the door and cabinets and there was black mold on the shower walls, taps, drains the mirror and window.”
He claimed despite flagging his concerns with the TUI rep at the hotel, they never heard back.
And while the family hoped to relax on the beach, he claimed they had been constantly harassed by drug dealers.
Stephen said: “We had to stop spending time at the private beach for hotel guests due to the constant offers of cannabis or Charlie every 10 minutes of the day.”
He claimed they could use the beach sun loungers to count money – “all while children were running around”.
Stephen, who works in management, also said there was no attempt by management to move on the dealers.
Photographs of the hotel show chipped tiles, as well as rotting spots on the walls.
And despite having booked holidays with TUI before – estimating he had spent £32,000 on trips with them – he said he would never recommend them again.
