However, airport troops were quickly on the scene to reveal the blast was actually caused by an exploding BATTERY and no one was in danger.
Tourist Danny Walker later revealed on Twitter that despite all the chaos no one was actually injured in the incident.
“Battery explosion in Dalaman airport, lots of people running absolute chaos,” he wrote.
“Wife lost her passport, I lost a shoe. The army showed up. But all is well. If this becomes a big news thing, just want everyone to know that we are fine.”
The author Jack Strange added: “Dalaman airport. Everyone starts running and screaming. Thought there was a terrorist attack.
“Scariest moment of my life. Airport in disarray.”
Matthew Dando was also caught up in the terminal terror, reports the MailOnline.
