Chris told listeners that Will wanted to rent his home while he was filming for Aladdin in Surrey. The 53-year-old explained he turned Will down while chatting to his co-star Mena Massoud on the show. He was offered “a good price” but still declined the offer.

Speaking on his Virgin Radio Breakfast Show, Chris said: “Somebody phoned us up about two years ago and said: ‘Do you want to rent your house out?

“I said: ‘Not really, we are alright to be honest.’

“But they said: ‘But don’t you rent a house yourself. You might want to consider this.’

    “I said: ‘Why?’

“He said: ‘It’s a good let, it’s a good price.’

    “I said: ‘Who’s it for?’

“They said: ‘We can’t tell you that. He’s making a big film around the corner.’

Chris went on to ask Mena when they filmed which turned out to be July 2017 around the same time as his phone call.

The revelation comes after Chris recently told fans he’s not getting much voiceover work anymore.

Chris explained to listeners how he was the voice-over on many famous adverts including Morrisons and Rice Krispies before appearing on Top Gear.

He said: “I’m not getting much voice-over work nowadays, I’ll be honest with you.

    “I used to get loads.

“I’ve not had a voice-over job for like three years since Top Gear that’s what it was.

“That’s what it is! I used to get loads before Top Gear.

    “Nothing, nothing! For three years.”

Chris Evans Virgin Radio Breakfast Show airs weekdays at 6.30am.
