Coleen Rooney takes Kai’s iPad to be repaired after she was slammed for letting sons watch tablets at football match

COLEEN Rooney headed out to get her son Kai’s iPad repaired today, just months after she came under fire for tweeting a picture of her other three kids all on tablets at a football match.

The 33 year-old – who recently returned from the US with the kids while footballer hubby Wayne finalises his move home – dashed out to The Device Lab repair shop in Wilmslow, Cheshire earlier this afternoon.

She was carrying Kai’s ipad in a quilted black case as she left the shop clutching a receipt for the work.

Wearing an animal print top which she slouched at the shoulders to reveal a black bra strap, she paired it black leggings with Nike trainers.

The casual lass, whose brunette locks were pulled back into a simple ponytail made her way back to her parked Audi as she continued on her errands.

Of course, Coleen has ran into controversy of late over her use of so-called ‘iPad parenting’.

Back in May, she tweeted a photo of her sons Klay, Cit and Cass engrossed on their table’s while at a football tournament for elder brother Kai.

Coleen captioned the image: “Kai’s football (soccer here_ tournament set up!!! When Dads away…we all have to go along!!”
But while Coleen thought nothing of the picture, she was slammed by some followers who disagreed with the boys being on the devices.

“Let technology look after the children while mum is posting on social media,” said one.

Added another: “Sad sad sad. Out in the glorious sun and you’ve them glued to a screen.”

A third chimed in: “Very unhealthy for kids and the environment, set an example Coleen.”

And a fourth said: “What’s the point? You might as well have left them in the car & cracked a window.”

Others were more supportive, however, tweeted that it made Coleen more relatable.

One tweeter posted: “Lovely to see celeb mums are just like us regular mums 🙂 x”

Another added: “The other boys seem quite happy . You’re doing a great job Coleen.”

Not that Coleen needed others to fight her battles for her. She quickly put the haters in their place with a series of tweets fired back at them.

“Game hadn’t kicked off!” she clarified in one tweet.

She then added: “calm down, calm down… yes my children have and use iPads!!! And even my 15 month old watches Peppa Pig on one would you believe!! They come in handy sometimes and can be very educational. Mathletics and spelling apps are used all time by kai and klay … check them out.”

And proving the backlash had rolled off her back, she had the final word, saying: “Criticism entertains Me sometimes!! Relax.”
