Daniil Medvedev 'not crying' over losing world No 1 spot to Carlos Alcaraz

Medvedev first reached No 1 in the rankings in February this year and spent a total of 16 weeks on top. He’ll return to action as the top seed in the indoor Moselle Open in France this week.

He’ll also play at the ATP Masters 1000 Paris, with Novak Djokovic already confirmed for the tournament. The Serbian himself was top of the rankings before Wimbledon this year, but winning it did him no favours given the absence of ranking points.
