Firmino has terrorised Arsenal since joining Liverpool… and Brazilian ace is one goal from stunning milestone

ROBERTO FIRMINO is aiming to clinch a Brazilian record against Arsenal – by continuing his prolific run of form against the London club.

Firmino has scored more goals against the Gunners than any other club in the Premier League during his time at Liverpool.

Since arriving at Anfield four years ago he has faced Arsenal eight times – and found the net eight times.

It means Unai Emery’s side are the whipping boys for the 27-year-old more than even the minnows of the top flight.

Saturday’s match at Anfield will provide a stern test of this season’s Gunners – who have won their opening two matches.

And worse news for Emery, is that in the four times he has played at home against Arsenal, Firmino has scored in every game.

His actual record at Anfield against the Londoners is seven goals in four games, with a further two assists.

Jurgen Klopp is sure to unleash the striker this weekend, with Sadio Mane now up to full speed to join Mo Salah in attack.

And should he score on Saturday it would take Firmino on to 50 Premier League goals in his career.

Should he reach that mark, he will become the first Brazilian ever to make the half century in the English game.

Arsenal have been impressive going forward this season, but there are still question marks over whether they have improved defensively.

The arrival of David Luiz from Chelsea has bolstered Emery’s options at the back but they have yet to convince that the problem area in their side is resolved.

Liverpool’s trio of Firmino, Mane and Salah will provide a clearer example of just where they are at in their progression.
