Humble Kieran Tierney will run through a brick wall for Arsenal and provide a tonne of assists, says Aston Villa star John McGinn

ARSENAL fans are in for a treat when Kieran Tierney takes to the pitch, according to Scotland teammate John McGinn.

The pair both made their international debuts in 2016 with the Aston Villa star knowing all about what Tierney brings to the table.

An attacking full-back, the 22-year-old clocked 37 assists for Celtic before completing his £25million move to the Premier League.

And McGinn expects the Gunners to benefit from his vision in the final third.

He told TalkSPORT on Wednesday: “He’s got everything

“Once he gets back fit, he will run through a brick wall for Arsenal.

“Not only that, he can gallop up and down the pitch and get assists, he’s a very good crosser of the ball.

“He’s also a really humble guy who will improve all the time.”

McGinn could have played with Tierney at Celtic but ended up signing for Villa when leaving Hibernian 12 months ago.

Bhoys fans were indignant their club couldn’t agree a fee to sign the forward thinking midfielder, who makes no apologies for supporting the team.

McGinn, who scored on his Prem debut versus Tottenham, added: “I am still a Celtic supporter and the boys here know I harp on about it all the time but I’m fully focused on Villa.”

Arsenal face Villa at Emirates Stadium on September 22 and Tierney is a doubt for that clash while still six weeks away from fitness.
