“It gets very rural very quickly,” Mr Entin said.
He continued: “There’s an elementary school out there but not a lot of cameras. Not a lot of houses. Not a lot of businesses.”
If the killer went left at the gas station, it would have taken them right through town, Mr Entin said.
All told, it took Mr Entin three minutes and forty seconds to get from the scene of the murder out of town.
Meanwhile, a damaged car found in Oregon has been one possible lead in the investigation.
