National Highways updated its guidance, saying: “All lanes are now open on the #M62 westbound between J23 #Huddersfield and J22 #Denshaw following a collision.
“Please allow extra time if travelling in the area as delays of 80 mins and approx. 6 miles of congestion remain.”
While traffic has resumed, commuters are still expected to face delays of up to 80 minutes according to National Highways.
This went up from 50 minutes when the accident happened earlier this morning when there were only five miles of congestion.
