Manchester United playmaker Bruno Fernandes has become a Premier League star since moving to the northwest from Sporting Lisbon at the start of 2020. And the Red Devils could be set to sign another Fernandes next summer.
After joining United midway through the 2019/20 campaign, the Portugal international bagged 12 goals and eight assists in 22 matches before the season came to an end. He backed that up with another 28 goals and 17 assists in his first full campaign at Old Trafford. And despite seeing a reduced output in front of goal since the club signed Cristiano Ronaldo for a second time last summer, Fernandes is still regarded as one of the hottest attacking players in England.
United boss Erik ten Hag would love to get his hands on another player in the ilk of Fernandes. And he could do exactly that, according to Portuguese football expert Sofia Oliveira.
The Red Devils were interested in signing Enzo Fernandez earlier this year while he was plying his trade in Argentina with River Plate. United weren’t able to get their hands on the midfielder, however, as he left his homeland to join Benfica in the summer. But Oliveira has told CNN Portugal that Fernandez will be available to buy next summer as Benfica will struggle to hold onto the ace.

But Fernandez may want to follow in the footsteps of Fernandes. The Red Devils man developed his talents in Portugal, before being given the opportunity to shine in the Premier League. And his move to Old Trafford has paid off for all parties.
Fernandes has been a key player for his side once again the term and had started all 12 of their Premier League games ahead of the weekend. And the 28-year-old would surely be the first person to recommend Fernandez moves to the northwest.
