Manchester United legend Sir Alex Ferguson has lost the all-time record for Champions League wins after Real Madrid thrashed Celtic 5-1. Los Blancos boss Carlo Ancelotti has now taken the accolade from him by claiming his 103rd win in the competition, surpassing the Scotsman’s 102.
Ferguson spent 27 years in the United hot seat claiming 38 major trophies including the Champions League twice. He won 102 matches as a manager in the competition a record which had stood since his retirement.
