Mike has revealed that in 2003, the rugby player tried to mess with Zara’s cousin, Prince Harry, during the Rugby World Cup in Sydney, Australia.
He and his teammate Iain Balshaw wanted to test how good the Duke of Sussex’s security was and decided to throw a punch at the prince.
It tuned out that Prince Harry’s bodyguards were very alert, as it was only a matter of seconds before the rugby players were held back.
Last year, Mike Tindall recalled the story while attending Question of Sport Live at the London Palladium.
The former rugby player joked the Royal Family would now like to “throw a few punches” at Harry.
He said: At Balmoral, the family are now having the same conversation.”
And added: “Except the Queen has taken his security away.”

There has been speculation about the current status of Mike and Prince Harry’s relationship, as earlier this year it was reported he seemed to avoid the Duke of Sussex at Queen Elizabeth’’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations.
Judi James, a body language expert, analysed video footage from the Platinum Jubilee and said: “With Mike’s closeness to William in mind it also appeared to have created a bit of a dilemma as Harry stepped out into Zara’s group as they waited for their transport.”
She added: “This doesn’t appear to be Mike’s normal style of behaviour as he usually looks too easy-going and too tough to get involved in politics and it could be that his attention was taken arranging the right cars, but there are no signs of any farewell from him, either.”
