Emergency services have raced to Morley station in Leeds after reports of a man falling from a bridge. A spokeswoman for Yorkshire Ambulance Service said they received an emergency call at 10.05am to reports of a male who had fallen from a bridge at Morley Railway Station.
She said: “A number of ambulance resources were dispatched to the scene.”
A passerby reported seeing six ambulances and five police cars at the scene, with the area being cordoned off.
A photo of the scene showed a train stopped on the tracks with multiple emergency services personnel gathered.
Morley station is located about 5 miles south-west of Leeds. National Rail said there is disruption between Huddersfield and Leeds that is epected to last until 1.15pm.
A passenger who appeared to be on the stationary train posted on Twitter: “I can tell you we ain’t going anywhere anytime soon.”
