Prince Andrew rushes to Queen's side as Buckingham Palace issues health update

The Duke of York is heading to Balmoral Castle, Scotland to be with the Queen and other members of the Royal Family who are gathering today at Balmoral, a spokesman has confirmed. Her Majesty has been placed under medical supervision after doctors became concerned for her health.

All the Queen’s four children, Prince Charles, Prince Edward and Princess Anne are now with her at Balmoral Castle. 

Prince William is also in attendance, however Catherine, the Duchess of Cambridge has remained in Windsor with George, Charlotte and Louis as it is their first full day at school.

Earlier on Thursday, a Buckingham Palace spokesman said: “Following further evaluation this morning, The Queen’s doctors are concerned for Her Majesty’s health and have recommended she remain under medical supervision. 

“The Queen remains comfortable and at Balmoral.”

On Wednesday evening, Her Majesty abruptly cancelled a virtual meeting with members of her Privy Council after her doctors advised her to rest.

Tuesday saw the Queen meet with Boris Johnson and new Prime Minister Liz Truss.
