The Queen is currently at her favourite residence in Balmoral, Scotland where she is said to be comfortable. Concerns over her health were sparked yesterday evening when she missed a virtual meeting of the Privy Council.

Members of the Royal Family are believed to be on the plane spotted leaving RAF Northolt.

The Queen’s eldest son and heir Prince Charles and his wife Camilla travelled to her Scottish home, Balmoral Castle, where she is staying, along with his eldest son Prince William, officials said.

Her other children – Anne, Andrew and Edward – were also at the castle. A spokesperson said that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, in the UK for several events, would also travel to Balmoral.

The BBC has interrupted its schedule to instead focus on constant coverage of the Queen,

Earlier today Buckingham Palace released a statement regarding Her Majesty’s condition.

It said: “Following further evaluation this morning, The Queen’s doctors are concerned for Her Majesty’s health and have recommended she remain under medical supervision.

“The Queen remains comfortable and at Balmoral.”

A palace source had down played speculation that the monarch had suffered from a fall.

Messages of well wishes and concern have poured out from across the nation.

Justin Welby, the Archbishop of Canterbury, said on Twitter: “My prayers, and the prayers of people across the Church of England and the nation, are with Her Majesty The Queen today.”

Prime Minister Liz Truss said: “The whole country will be deeply concerned by the news from Buckingham Palace this lunchtime.

She added: “My thoughts – and the thoughts of people across our United Kingdom – are with Her Majesty The Queen and her family at this time.”
