Richarlison breaks down in tears after Tottenham star nets twice on Champions League debut

Crouch said on BT Sport: “I’m surprised he hasn’t played Champions League, he’s been good for a long, long time, hasn’t had the opportunity but those goals will be massive to him, he didn’t get a goal at the weekend. Really pleased for him.”

Harry Kane was also full of praise for his team-mate, telling BT: “Richy’s been great since he come in, worked hard for his opportunities, played well whenever he’s had them. He’s a real threat with the ball and scored a couple of headers.”

Richarlison will be hoping to keep his spot in the Tottenham side for the trip to champions Manchester City on Saturday evening. City and Spurs are the only two remaining unbeaten teams in the Premier League this season.

The winner could move top of the table temporarily at least. Current leaders Arsenal face winless Everton at the Emirates on Sunday.
