TEENS celebrated their academic success last night as they hit the town after opening their A-level results.
After the stress of the highly-anticipated day started to wind down, some appeared to party a bit too hard.
Students had anxiously waited to find out if they got a place at their chosen unis before opening their results envelope yesterday.
It was revealed the number of students getting top A-level results had fallen to a 12-year low, despite a shake-up that was meant to make the exams easier.
However, it wasn’t all bad news as girls clawed back the lead from boys in terms of A* and A grades.

Students across the country were seen jumping for joy with their pals as parents proudly kissed their kids upon finding out their results.
As the night fell, many groups of relieved and excited teens celebrated in bars and clubs across the country.
Some were seen getting carried away as they slumped on the pavement or had to be propped up by their pals.
