Commentator Megyn Kelly featured on Dan Wootton’s GB News show yesterday to discuss the future prospects of the 45th President. Ms Kelly told Mr Wootton that the FBI raid on Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence could only prevent his chances “in a fantasy world”.
In the raid on the former President’s home last week, the FBI seized a number of boxes thought to contain classified information which should not have left the White House.
Mr Trump responded to the raid with a post on his own social media platform Truth Social in which he accused officers of seizing three passports.
He said: “Wow. In the raid by the FBI of Mar-a-Lago, they stole my three Passports (one expired), along with everything else.
“This is an assault on a political opponent at a level never seen before in our country. Third world.”
Despite many being outraged at the ex-POTUS for allegedly taking sensitive information from the White House and also for his involvement in the riots on January 6, Trump supporters have come out in force to support him at his Florida home.
After hearing news of the raid, many supporters arrived at Mar-a-Lago and others even defended Mr Trump online.
Speaking to Mr Wootton, Ms Kelly discussed Mr Trump’s chances in the upcoming general election should he formally announce he is running for a third time.
She claimed: “[Trump’s] fortunes have never looked better for running again and winning again.

She claimed the former First Lady would be “absolutely adored by the Left”.
Kelly argued: “[They] see her as the ‘brake here in case of emergency’.
“She’s the fire extinguisher that they think might be there just in case Joe Biden doesn’t want to run.”
Returning back to the subject of Trump’s potential run, Kelly concluded: “I think the nomination is his for the taking now.
“He’s crushing DeSantis, he’s crushing the other candidate on the GOP side for the nomination and what the democrats are hoping is that if and when he gets that nomination, he’ll lose in a general election to who?
“If Carolyn Maloney, that Congresswoman, is right and Joe Biden steps down, to who? Michelle? I don’t think so.”
