Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been at the centre of the spotlight in recent weeks after Netflix announced the release of a documentary on their life since quitting the Royal Family. The couple has faced backlash over their decision to share an intimate portrait of their private and public life after previously lamenting the attention they received when working for the Crown. US reporter Michael Moynihan hit out at the royal pair during an appearance on The Megyn Kelly Show in which he delivered a fiery slapdown of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s conduct.
Mr Moynihan said: “The bigger issue here is the absurdity of this idea that the press is intrusive.
“Is it intrusive? It absolutely is but guess what? You chose it. ‘Well, I didn’t choose the hereditary monarchy’ – no, no, no.
“You have a deal with Netflix. Your wife has a podcast deal with Spotify, worth tens of millions of dollars.
“Look at their house in Montecito, what the f**k have these people ever done? She was on Suits, he’s a ginger weirdo that has a family…he was just born into it.”

In the trailer for the upcoming documentary, Prince Harry laments the treatment reserved for brides joining the Royal Family as he accused the institution and the media of “dirty tricks.”
He said he and Meghan Markle were the victims of a “dirty game” as he claimed negative stories about them were “planted” to undermine their position.
Prince Harry said: “There’s a hierarchy of the family, you know, there’s leaking, but there’s also planting of stories. It’s a dirty game.
“The pain and suffering of women marrying into this institution, this feeding frenzy. I was terrified, I didn’t want history to repeat itself.”
He added: “No one knows the full truth. We know the full truth.”

The couple’s decision to strike multi-million deals with Netflix and Spotify has repeatedly come under question as their demand for privacy appeared to be violated by their own business dealings.
But in November 2021, the couple’s legal representative insisted the Duke and Duchess never sought to establish themselves as private citizens but wanted their right to a private life better protected.
Jenny Asia, a partner at Schillings, the legal firm representing the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, said in a BBC documentary last year they are seeking to put an end to “blatant violations” of their privacy.
She said: “Privacy is about the right to own and control what personal information you choose to share with somebody.”
Meghan Markle had previously lamented having been forced to share details of her son Archie and his first picture with the press shortly after his birth.
