YouTube restores Chris Cuomo’s ‘Fredo’ rant after Trump Jr. tweet


YouTube pulled a video clip of CNN host Chris Cuomo freaking out after a man called him “Fredo” — but quickly put it back up after a pointed message from President Trump.

“Put it back up. We are living with a Rigged & Fake Media!” the commander in chief tweeted along with a retweet from first son Donald Trump Jr.

“Unbelievable: @Youtube has taken down the viral video showing @chriscuomo threatening to assault a heckler and then grotesquely comparing “Fredo” to the N word. Youtube/Google literally covering up his racism and violent threats. You can’t make this stuff up. #StopTheBias,” Trump Jr. wrote.

YouTube said in a statement to The Post that yanking the video was a mistake.

“This video was reinstated earlier today. With the massive volume of videos on our site, sometimes we make the wrong call. When it’s brought to our attention that a video has been removed mistakenly, we act quickly to reinstate it. We also offer uploaders the ability to appeal removals and we will re-review the content,” a spokeswoman said in a statement.

YouTube did not respond to questions about whether the president’s or his son’s tweets sparked the about-face.

In the video, the hot-headed Cuomo threatens to throw a man down the stairs after the man insulted him as “Fredo,” a reference to “The Godfather” character portrayed by John Cazale in the 1972 Francis Ford Coppola classic, the dim-witted middle son of family patriarch Don Vito Corleone.

Trump also laced into Cuomo after leaving his Jersey golf club for a trip to Pennsylvania.

“I think that what Chris Cuomo did was horrible. His language was horrible. He looked like a total, out-of-control animal. He lost it.

And, frankly, I don’t think anybody should defend him because he spews lies every night. So I don’t know why anybody would defend him. But Chris Cuomo was out of control. I watched it. I thought it was terrible,” Trump said when asked about his pal, Fox News host Sean Hannity, who defended Cuomo.

“So I don’t know who’s defending him. Maybe they didn’t see it. Maybe they haven’t gotten a full picture. But I think anybody that would have seen Chris Cuomo would have said that was a disgrace. You’ve never seen me do that,” he said.

“Chris Cuomo was so out of control that I would not have wanted to see a weapon in his hand. I guess his fist is not a weapon or he would have done something. You know, he talked about it but he didn’t do anything. But I think Chris Cuomo was very much out of control, actually.”

Hannity had defended Cuomo on Twitter.

“I say good for @ChrisCuomo. He’s out with his 9 year old daughter, and his wife, and this guy is being a jackass in front of his family. Imho Chris Cuomo has zero to apologize for. He deserves the apology,” Hannity wrote.

Cuomo later apologized for his outburst.
